Actor Terry Crews Alleged Sexual Assault.
Actor Terry Crews famously known for his work on Fox's hit show "Everybody Hates Chris" came forward earlier this week with shocking allegations of having been sexually assaulted by Adam Venit back in February, 2016.
Venit, head of Motion picture company William Morris Endeavor has yet to deny the allegations but was suspended by William Morris following an investigation. Cruz discloses in an intimate interview with ABC "I have never felt more emasculated, more objectified. I was horrified," Crews said. "It's so bizarre. I wake up every morning wondering, 'Did this really happen?'"
In a series of tweets posted to Twitter, following the Harvey Weinstein scandal, Cruz divulges explicit details of his account following the life changing night that left him in disbelief. Actor Terry Cruz's statements comes out following a bombshell of celebrities who spoke out after allegations of Harvey Weinstein another famous film executive who was reported for sexual misconduct.
It seems that Hollywood is echoing the sentiments of a bleeding society that is starting to recognize the world wide issue of sexual abuse on women and even on men. These are real problems and real issues, that are affecting your everyday American. According to RAINN statistics every 98 seconds an American is being sexually assaulted. As of 1998, an estimated 17.7 million American women had been victims of attempted or completed rape.As of 1998, 2.78 million men in the U.S. had been victims of attempted or completed rape,1 out of every 10 rape victims are male. The stats show that women are higher in probability to be victims of sexual assault, but also give credence that men are even subject to be victims of sexual assault.
The real remedy to this issue is opening up a dialogue to teach respect to our children at an early age , teaching them to respect themselves and the others. The saddest part is that most sexual assaulter's were either molested or exposed to sexual misconduct which can be linked to predator behavior. This isn't a partisan issue, its a global one that should affects us all. By speaking out when we see objectification of women and men we are salvaging what is left of Heartland America
