Thank You Dr. King!

Fifty years after the assassination of Dr.Martin Luther King, his message of hope and love are still ringing from Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. It was there that Dr.King gave his captivating speech " I Have A Dream" and vastly changed the landscape of America and the world at large. Dr. Kings message of equality and social progressiveness didn't start with his famous speech surrounded by thousands in Washington, it started with his love for the Lord. He accepted the call to activism in the 1950's when he decided to take the message of faith and spread love and awareness to social injustices, targeted heavily towards segregation and racial inequality.
Dr. King was a pillar in the Civil Rights movement, leading anti-violent marches and pro-testing inequalities for those who felt unheard. Although the vast majority of oppression and segregation was targeted towards people of color. Martin Luther King would not marginalize anyone, he was inclusive of all people and accepted them into his mission. Tragically, Dr.Kings work was cut short on April 4, 1968 when he was fatally shot in Memphis, Tennessee and nearly five decades later He is being praised as the most prolific Civil Rights forerunner of all time, to which we can credit the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to Dr. King for his unyielding to a bias system against African Americans and minorities.
One can only wonder if Dr. King were still alive today, what advice what he give to us today regarding race relations and social and economical inequalities? What would he have to say about a president whose rhetoric on race relations was offensive and xenophobic? Would He be apart of the "Me Too" movement, would He protest a Muslim ban shrouded by a national security theory? Because of his powerful legacy of faith, hope and love the resounding answer to all those questions is equality for all! Thank you Dr.King for your passion, integrity and your service for a cause you believed in and I also believe in.
Thank you,
