Someone Needs to Tell Antonio Sabato to Shut Up!

          Of all of my years watching contentious interviews, the exchange between CNN's Chris Cuomo and actor Antonio Sabota was by far my favorite and most riveting I have ever witnessed. To preface this, anyone coming on the Cuomo show should know that he is well versed at calling out inconsistencies and flat out lies. It seems that actor Antonio Sabato didn't realize that when he entered into "Lions Den" on last night after Chris pressed him on his stance on civility in the United States. This guy should stick to acting which really didn't seem to be working all that well for him and maybe the reason as to why he is running for Congress in California. When asked on his comments about Obama being Muslim, he dismissed his comments on the issue, by the way- he may still believe Obama is Muslim. After dancing around rather he could stand by those comments, Chris pressed him on the birther issue, he began acting hostile even saying "I know you're trying to be a smart ass". If that wasn't enough, Antonio told the CNN anchor that he should repent for his sins? By this time, my mouth had hit the floor-Does Antonio not realize that Trump actually started this devolution of civility early in his campaign? Trump made harsh comments by marginalizing minorities in this country?  There is more, Antonio also inserted that Congressman Maxine Waters should also be put in jail? Yet didn't see that he was duplicitous in that comment and that Trump said through out his campaign that Hillary Clinton should be locked up?

    So here is how we'll land this, Antonio if you're going to be running for an office to which in my opinion you're not fit to be in judging by your unhinged interview on yesterday- learn to face the truth, facts, data and evidence. President Obama is not a Muslim! No matter how much you try to insert that he is, this has been debunked harder than your acting career. No matter how hard you and all the far right cliff birthers may try to roll back this "ship" it's not happening! How do you expect to have your power checked if you can't handle opposing views on questionable policy, learn to respect descent, its what our Four Fathers founded the constitution, Freedom of Speech, which actually gives people like you the ability to speak your views under a protected Amendment. Finally, the next time that you go on National TV and show yourself to be as defensive and unhinged as you were last night, skip out on the left leaning interviews.

When Women Rape Men

       It might come to no surprise, but the idea of  men being raped by women is heavily disputed and even heavily debunked. I believe the scenario people cannot get pass is "how could a big strong man, be raped by a woman?"  Just to be clear, all of the definitions of  rape exclude men in gender, but not with regard to consent. Consent is an important factor when determining if a man can be raped by a woman, after all there are variables that could put a man in a precarious situation to be sexually assaulted. According to the law, only a man can commit rape (as the penetration has to be with a penis). I would argue what if he is under the influence, or in an incapacitated state of mind and the woman sexually assaults him to penetration, if he does not consent, why isn't that rape? What if she used her mouth?     If penetration denotes the rape by forceful penetration of the penis then the law...

Scared of Interracial DATING???

          Starting a conversation about race is not always the easiest thing to do. Recently, one of my friends told me that they had to deal with something that had been extremely challenging for them. Telling his mom that  he was in love with a white woman, he is black by the way.  To clarify, his mom is not racist and has never exhibited any of those behaviors. However, she has intimated that she might be a little disappointed if he did bring home a woman who was not black. It wasn’t what she said exactly, it was more of what she didn’t say. For the record, his mom is a woman of many words to contextualize this, her silence when jokingly asked about her son dating a white girl hypothetically was louder than her speaking. I remember ease dropping on a conversation between her and his dad and she jokingly said “he could even bring home a white girl” but then she said, “let me not say that too loud”.
